The More Balanced Team Wins Superbowl
Tom Brady will probably go down in history as one of the best quarterbacks of all time, but the New England Patriots defense was ranked last in the NFL during the regular season. The New York Giants had a more balanced attack which gave them the upperhand in Superbowl XLVI. Superbowl XLVI turned out to be a relatively close game however. The Patriots made a gutsy call on defense to allow the Giants to score a TD quickly before they could run out the clock giving the Giants a 21 to 17 lead. Tom Brady then had the task of
Only 4 Teams Left in Quest for Superbowl
So far 2 so called elite quarterbacks have been knocked out of the playoffs. Those 2 quarterbacks are Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. The shocker has to be that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers got eliminated in their first playoff game after going 15 and 1 for the season. Congrats to the four teams left in the quest for the Superbowl which include the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, and the New York Giants. Share this…
Matt Ryan Remains Winless in Playoffs
Going into today’s playoff game against the New York Giants, the Atlanta Falcon’s quarterback Matt Ryan had yet to win a NFL playoff game. Nothing changed. The Giants destroyed the Atlanta Falcons today by a score of 24 to 2. That’s right! The Atlanta Falcons only scored 2 points today. With the addition of Julio Jones in the off season, some thought that the Falcons would be the new “greatest show on turf”. This turned out to be a joke. Don’t get me wrong, I think Matt Ryan is a good quarterback. I just think he is highly over rated.
Favre’s Streak Finally Ends
Brett Favre, who is one of the toughest quarterbacks in NFL history, finally ended his streak of 297 consecutive starts today. Favre’s amazing streak of 297 straight starts ended because of his banged-up right shoulder and numb hand which caused him to remain on the sidelines during the Vikings vs Giants game. The New York Giants went on to beat the Minnesota Vikings and win the game 21 to 3. Share this…
RiVickulous Part 2
Michael Vick didn’t have as many ridiculously amazing plays as he did last game but he was still quite impressive. I saw him make an incredible move to elude a defender as he raced to the end to score a touchdown for the Eagles today. Vick has defeated both Manning brothers this season and still has not thrown any interceptions. Although Vick didn’t put out big numbers today, he did outplay his competition and led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 27 to 17 win over the New York Giants. The Philadelphia Eagles are the most dangerous team in the NFC
Cowboys Win First Game under New Coach
How bout them Cowboys? A new coach may have been just what the doctor ordered as the cowboys go on to defeat the New York Giants by a score of 33 to 20 today. This was the first game the Cowboys have played under new head coach Jason Garrett. Cowboy’s backup QB Jon Kitna passed for 327 yards and three touchdowns against a New York Giants team that was ranked as one of the best in the NFC. The Cowboys now have 2 wins and 7 losses while the Giants fall to 6 wins and 3 losses. Share this…
